End of year summary
Overall the year was fun, I feel I worked hard and pushed my self. I enjoyed outdoor week because it gave me an opportunity to try new things and be more social. My favorite activity was jelly park, I went swimming with my two good friends and went down the hydroslide many times. I also enjoyed baking. This year was fun, I enjoyed the formal a lot too as I connected with my friends and I got to dance and sing. I loved the dinner and the desert! I found the photobooth fun and it was a great celebration for the end of year.

art
recently I've been making progress on my artwork, and for inquiry I will be showing some of it with Nevaeh, I really need more ideas because it's coming up quickly so comment some ideas of what you want me to draw and I will browse them and probably pick a couple. I don't do portraits of people or anything, but I do prefer to draw semi-realistic drawings of skeletons, mini marvel characters, and sometimes people (thats one of my weaker areas).
so please comment ideas of what I could draw for inquiry! :)

math progress
For maths on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday I completed a worksheet based on multipication.
As you can see on the graph I have improved on my 6 and 9 times tables but work is needed on the 7 and 8 times tables.

Today is the last day of term three, this morning we had tech.
I worked on completing the light I was previously working on for 10 weeks.
The light was a success and I'm really happy with the way it turned out.
Afterwards we came back and the whole class had a shared lunch to celebrate the end of term and having Mr Kidd as our teacher for the term.
Earlier in the week I made a hundred word explanation of my science this term:
Recently I have discovered Piskel which is a program where you create animated pixel art (I didn't create these but there is an example below)

This term in science I made hokey pokey, which helped me learn more about atoms and molecules.
I discovered that hokey pokey is made with a chemical formula called NaHCO3, which is commonly known as baking soda.
This reacts with the golden syrup and release a gas called carbon dioxide (co2).
I’ve also went on a trip to Rutherford’s Den recently and there I learnt some useful information about atoms and how they are formed.
Sharon told my literacy group about the periodic table and I learnt there are 118 elements.
I have had fun learning about science this term.

The key to posting a good comment on someones blog:
How to write a good comment:
1-in some way, compliment the writer- make sure that you are being positive and be specific about what it is that you like.
2-Give the publisher some new information- add in some facts you know (because it may be useful for them next time)
3-Make a personal connection e.g. telling them something they did and how it relates to you
4-Ask a question e.g. how long did it take for you to make this?
5-fluctuate the length of your comment so that it isn't too long or too short - proof read it.
6-Don't

this week in literacy I have been working on making a information report based on the Vietnam war.
I also have been brainstorming ideas for a free write based on a picture of our choice originally from a website called pobble.
Basically a bunch of pictures appear on a calendar there is a picture for each day of the year and then you just pick a picture, then add it to your document.
I love writing horror stories because they are exciting and leave the person who's reading it wanting more (in suspense).
As well as I have been working on math quite hard learning to make cool circle patterns from compasses, as well as trying to draw and find the degrees in an angle.

Careers:
This term I did a quiz, which by the end of it was supposed to tell me what my top three strengths were and then after that I would use them strengths to determine how it would help me with the job I chose for my careers work.
I had chosen vet which matched up to my strengths (relative, organizer, achieving).
Because I could relate to animals and patients, organize tools used for operations, and achieve tasks I start.
Then I made a presentation and some pamphlets.
Which is in this link:

The quiz was pretty accurate, and the career expo in our class went good.

Reflection of the month 18/6/2019
This previous month I have been working hard on math and literacy.
I have also especially been working on a presentation for a careers expo (which is tomorrow).
There will be a group of year sixes that come into our classroom, and we will share a presentation with them with information about the job we have chosen.
I chose vet for my career.
As I said before I have been working hard on my math, working on diameter, and area.
For literacy I have been spending time working on writing (usually I like to write horror stories), in my story (which I currently haven't created a title for) a girl name Bailey finds a house on the way to walking home from soccer practice and then she gets locked in.
Then lastly for Milo I have been sketching, I like sketching horror based things too.
So this includes rag dolls, etc.

Ocean Pollution and how we can make a difference
In school I was working on a google slide to show why ocean pollution is a problem and how we could fix it and make a change.
I spent two weeks progressing on this and my outcome was good.
I got help from people on google forms who evaluated my work and then i changed it according to the suggestions.
Overall my outcome turned out good.
